Lindsay MacGeorge, MA, LPC, RPT-S
Making the decision to pursue counseling can be scary, but once you take that first step, you will realize that you have the courage to continue on one of the most rewarding journeys of your life. The therapeutic process begins with an open mind and a willing heart. In an accepting environment, we build a therapeutic relationship together on trust, empowerment, and growth so that you feel supported during the entire process.
Lindsay MacGeorge is a registered play therapist and works with children as young as 3, as well as adolescents and adults. Play is at the heart of her work as a therapist. For children, play is their language and offers the most effective way for kids to process their experiences and their emotions. For teens and adults, when talk therapy may not be enough or may be too challenging, Lindsay enjoys using sand tray, expressive arts, narrative therapies and playful techniques to explore deeper or see things from a different perspective.
Lindsay wholeheartedly believes that every person is an expert on their own unique lives, they know who they are and what they need and they have the power to heal themselves. She will work together with you, building on the insight, strengths and skills you already have to reach your goals. If you are ready to take the step to pursue counseling, (or even if you are hesitant), Lindsay invites you to give counseling a try and to begin your journey toward healing and living your best life.
